Your Dental Care During COVID-19
The team at Rebol Family Dentistry has made a lot of improvements to our office to ensure the safety of you, your family, other patients and all team members. We have worked really hard to make our office a safe place to come for your cleanings, cavities, crowns, Invisalign and any other dental needs. We have increased cleaning and sterilization and have installed technology that cleans the air in the office and kills the virus. We feel very comfortable with the safety of the office and hope you will as well.
Don’t let COVID-19 hinder your dental health, it is very important to continue to come in for your twice-yearly cleanings and any other dental procedures you may need.
We have installed an Ionic Cleaning System to our HVAC that cleans the air to create a safer and healthier office for all our patients and team members. We also added the CDC recommended UV sanitation to our HVAC system as an added layer of protection. This is not a typical installation – we went the extra mile and put in two different systems to complement each other and keep you safer. Standing alone, both have been proven to kill COVID-19, and we’ve doubled up!
It is typical in dental offices for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as gloves and masks to be worn. The use of barriers, stringent room disinfection protocols between patients, and sterilization also are commonplace. In fact, every care provider takes special sterilization and disinfection classes and maintains sterilization certification. However, due to COVID-19, we have turned up our sanitation measures even more.
In addition to screening our patients before entering the building, we are also screening our team members daily to ensure they won’t be bringing anything in. Double-checking this helps to prevent and lessen spread.
Like other medical offices, we have made some changes to our normal appointment routines. Our waiting room and reception area are closed for the time being, making your car the new waiting area. During check-in, we will ask you a series of screening questions and perform a temperature check. We ask that if you have been in contact with anyone that was COVID positive or if you are showing any symptoms, please call to let us know and we will reschedule your appointment for a later and safer date.
Your appointment may look a little different, but we are still here happy to see you and help you with your dental health. We will be wearing full PPE equipment and we expect our patients to be wearing a mask while inside the building unless otherwise instructed. We are asking for only one person to come inside per appointment. Please have guests remain in the car during your appointment. Along with our reception area being closed, all high touch items like books or toys have been removed from the office. Bring your own entertainment if needed, however, your wait time will be very short.
We will help you to schedule your next dental appointment on your way out of the office. Remember that your oral health is connected to your overall health, so it is very important to upkeep regular dental care.
Following your appointment, if you start to experience symptoms within two days of your visit to our office, please let us know so that our staff and other patients may complete contact tracing to decrease the further spread of the virus.
We look forward to seeing you at your next dental appointment!
