The Benefits of Implant Dentures
Affordable dentures implants come with a host of benefits. When implants secure your dentures, they stop the bone in that area from deteriorating. Typically, the patient will need to adjust or replace their dentures periodically.
Traditional dentures don’t stop the jawbone from degenerating. The fit continues to change over time because your mouth continues to change. However, implant-supported dentures don’t have this problem.
Implant-supported dentures give you back more of your bite capacity as well. Traditional dentures rely on suction and adhesive to stay in the mouth. Certain foods are difficult to eat with these dentures and can shift and move them.
However, implant dentures aren’t removable and stay in your mouth by design. Since implants fuse with your jawbone, the dentures aren’t going to shift or budge when you bite into hard foods.
Lastly, implant dentures don’t need as much maintenance as removable ones. You brush and floss them like you would your normal teeth. Traditional dentures require you to take them out every night to clean them. If you have a removable denture, you must soak your dentures nightly. Using Implants for Dentures and Partials

After this preparation, we will schedule the implant surgery. We may place one or more implants based on your type of denture. When we place the implants, we strategically place the titanium post in the jaw bone. Then, we place a healing cap.
You will receive your permanent denture after three to six months of healing. We use a lab to custom-make the denture from dental impressions.
You do not need to remove your dentures if you receive implant-supported dentures. In fact, you can brush and floss your dentures as you would natural teeth.
To maintain your implant-supported denture, brush and floss twice daily. You may find it easier to use a water flosser than traditional waxed floss. However, we can teach you the best technique to floss on and around the denture. After flossing, brush your dentures with a soft-bristled brush and a non-abrasive solution.
